“Last Friday saw the first Quiz Night of 2017 in the glamorous surroundings of the Thame Snooker Club – a warm, well-furnished venue with, importantly for the attendees, easy access to the well-stocked bar and a well-stocked raffle table.
Seven teams were closely matched, intellectually. Some teams seemed to think that the evening was all about the standard of snacks displayed on their table, others thought it was about the range of Premier Crus consumed.
Remarkably there were no disputes with the question masters Kathryn and John Lock, underlying the civility and sociability of the LWFC choir.
And most importantly the event made a profit of £247 for the choir’s funds.”
Thanks to everyone who attended – this money will be supporting Ealing Symphony Orchestra who will be accompanying us once again at our next concert on 18th March.
