1 Dec Messiah concert – message from Karen

A BIG well done to all those who sang in our A-MA-ZING concert on Saturday night!! All the many comments from the audience were so positive and complimentary.  You all worked so hard and it really came across. We were looking up, our diction was good and we could be heard over the orchestra!! I certainly felt as if I had had a work out after each Chorus number!

Thank you to all of you who helped to set up, those who picked up/dropped off the orchestra members and those who helped with the swiftest of ‘clear ups’ yet!  Also thank you to the ladies and David who came at 8:30 on Sunday morning to wheel back the Upper school staging and ferry all our other equipment back to Emily’s.

Thanks to those of you who weren’t singing but supported us by helping run the bar, or were in the audience. It makes such a difference to see your smiling faces out there.

Rosalind’s floral displays were stunning and Rosie and Barbie (and their husbands) did a fabulous job with the raffle, yet again. (if anyone has picked up the little black bags that we collect the raffle money in, could they please let me know)

The Committee is very grateful of everyone’s help and support, and I couldn’t do without their hard work behind the scenes. So a big thank you to you all from me.

I am very excited about the future of LWFC and am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible when we return next term on Jan 7th.

I will see some of you at the Christmas meal on Monday and at Thomley Hall on 15th at 11:15. I wish you all a very happy Christmas.
