Previous tours and events

As well as performing in Thame the choir has been “on tour”. One of the earliest destinations was Paris in 1994 and we returned to Montesson – a Paris suburb – in 2003.

The most recent one was to York in 2018, singing in the beautiful Selby Abbey. In 2020 we were due to travel to Ypres to sing in the town’s cathedral and also at the Menin Gate. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the trip was cancelled.

Other trips have been to Truro, Lille, Ghent and Haarlem in Holland. These trips have been a welcome mixture of music and socialising.

Even further afield, some of our members travelled to New York in 2010 to take part in a Karl Jenkins concert at Carnegie Hall.
